New Camera
We finally bought a new camera! It's a Sony Cybershot 9.1 DSC-H-50. So far we are really happy with it. Tom's cousin Katie and her husband Paul had their baby boy early this morning, Connor Cowan. Congrats Cowan family - we can't wait to see more pictures. I've got a few friends who are due in April and then Katie's sister is due in May and then Tom's brother's fiancee is due in June! Babies babies everywhere. We were getting so excited for spring, and I want to vomit when I see snow in the forecast this week. YUK! Enjoy these pictures from the new camera!

15 Months Today!
Jack is 15 months old TODAY! That is just crazy. We had his check up this morning and he screamed bloody murder the entire exam. He only had to get one shot and I was able to hold him, instead of strapping him down on the table, thank goodness. Here are Jack's stats:
Height - 31 1/2 inches - 50-75%
Weight - 22 lbs 9 oz - 25%
Head - 48.5 cm - 75-90%
Last time at 12 months:
Height - 30 inches - 50-75%
Weight - 21 lbs 3 oz - 25%
Head - 47.5 cm - 75-90%
So he is still right in the middle.

-He doesn't sleep with a sound machine anymore. But he definitely still sleeps with his nuks.
-Bailey is his best friend.
-He will eat anything in site. In fact Tom commented the other night that Jack is worse than Bailey around food, and that is a poweful statement.
-He inhales his meals. Honestly, we are done with meals in less than 10 mins sometimes.
-He is obsessed with books. But he doesn't want to listen to them, he just wants to flip through the pages. It's always fun to see who he will bring the book to - me or Tom. We always hope it will be the other one. ha ha.
-He gives the best kisses and hugs ever
-He can point to his nose, ears, mouth, bellybutton, leg and arm
-If you say "where is Jack" he will cover his face and play peek-a-boo
-He can stomp his feet and spin around in circles when asked
-When the song "head and shoulders" comes on his toy, he stops whatever he is doing and grabs his head and the sits down and touches his toes.
-He can "say" hi, baby, puppy, sock, banana, bellybutton, and of course mama and dada. Although some of these only Tom and I can understand.
Jack keeps me entertained 24/7. I am litterally worn out by the time he goes to bed. His next check up is at 18 months.

Small Successes and More
1. Jack and I went on our first run outside of 2009 yesterday. We made it 4 miles - we made it to CVS and turned around. It was super windy outside, but I think Jack enjoyed it, probably more so than I did. It's going to be hard to get back into the groove of exercise, but it needs to happen.
2. My kitchen is spotless. The counters have been scrubbed down, the rugs have been shaken out and the floors are sparkling. You won't be able to tell I did this after dinner tonight.
3. Jack and I got to spend time with his Godmama and my God-Daughter this morning (we can't forget the climbing monkey, Hailey too). The kids are getting to an age where Kelly and I can actually have conversations without being too distracted and we can sit on the couches. Before we know it, we will be getting together while our kids are in school. YIKES!

Television Addiction
So maybe I wouldn't be so addicted to TV if it wasn't for our DVR. Honestly I would hate to live without that thing. How did I survive without it before? On the other hand, maybe I could be a little more productive if I didn't watch TV. The good news is that I hardly ever watch TV during the days. I'm not gonna lie - I have tried to force Jack to watch cartoons just to get stuff done, and he won't do it. Am I bad mother for doing that? Oh well. So here are my show obsessions right now...
Bachelor - It's over now and I swear to this blog I am never going watch that show AGAIN. I know I've said that before, but this time I am dead serious. NEVER!
American Idol - How awesome is this season? Usually there are a handful of people in the top 12 that just plain suck or I can't stand. This season, the talent is amazing. Granted there are about 2 people that I wouldn't care if they went home. But for the most part I love them all.
LOST - Best show ever invented. Period.
There are a lot of other shows that I watch on a weekly basis - but they really aren't worth mentioning because I just watch to watch. I can also work online while watching TV, so at least I am being somewhat productive, right? So if there is ever a new show you're watching, don't tell me because I don't need another show to record. Just kidding, you should for sure tell me!

Small Successes

1. I cleaned out our junk drawer! I bought a drawer organizer and threw out a bunch of crap. We'll see how long it stays clean.
2. Alissa and I are ditching Yoga class tonight (we are not fans of our new instructor) so I decided to do a workout from Comcast on Demand. Jack didn't even get in my way! And I was finished by 9:30.
3. Yesterday when I did laundry, I actually put all of the clothes away. Usually I fold them and they sit in the basket until either Tom or I give in and put them away.

My First Slideshow!
I finally figured out how to use our videomaker application! I'm super excited. I'm also excited that it is somewhat warm out today. Warm enough to take Jack outside once he gets up from his nap!!

Weekend Recap
We had a great weekend! Our friends Spanky and Mel had their first baby on Friday morning. Tom played hockey with Spanky at the Air Force. They had a baby girl, Greta. She was 6 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches. She is so cute and so tiny. I don't remember Jack being that small. I mean I know he never technically was that small because Jack was 8 lbs - but still, that newborn stage-it's all one big blur. In some ways I miss it, but for the most part I don't - I enjoy my sleep too much. We are going to bring them dinner and spend more time with Greta on Wednesday night. So we've had two good friends have a baby within a week of eachother. Tom and I know at least one person who is having a baby every month from now until August. Baby-Mania!!! Is this making me get the baby itch? Not really. Maybe it would if I didn't already have one and didn't know how much work they really are, ha ha.
Tom decided to do a project this weekend - our downstairs bathroom. I wish I would have taken before pictures - the walls were just a dirty white and the vanity was a lighter wood and had older knobs too. Here is what it looks like now:

I was able to catch up on Jack's scrapbook on Saturday night which was SO fun. I went with my girlfriend Kelly. This weekend we have Tom's work awards banquet downtown in The W -Foshay building. Tom and I decided to treat ourselves to a night out and stay downtown too. I'm pretty excited about that - thanks to my mom who will be watching JT. Well more like house sitting considering Jack goes to bed at 6:45-ish and sleeps in until about 8 sometimes 830. He loves his sleep, just like his mama. Have a good Monday everyone!
