Tom and I met in high school - I was a sophomore, he was a senior. That relationship did not last terribly long :-) We remained close friends and my senior year (his sophomore year in college) we started our long distance relationship. It wasn't easy, we had our share of break ups and drama like any other relationship - but we fought through it and followed our hearts. We lived in Omaha together for 3 years, where Tom finished his military career (he is now a Financial Advisor) and I finished college. We were then married May 2006 back in MN.
Tom is my rock. If you know me at all, you know that I can be a little high maintenance and worry about unnecessary things. Tom balances me out. We laugh on a daily basis. Tom loves his job, which is wonderful! He also loves watching, playing, and coaching hockey. He is Jack and Finn's superhero and once Leo gets older, he will be his too. All three boys' entire faces light up when Tom gets home. It's the best part of the day when daddy gets home from work! I love that my boys have such an incredible role model.

Jack |
When we found out we were pregnant for the first time, we both wanted to get back home to MN so we could be closer to our family. So we sold our townhouse (luckily!) in Omaha and moved home. On Christmas Eve 2007, we welcomed Jack Thomas Starkey into our family. Jack has opened up my world in the most amazing way. He was the bestest baby in the whole wide world. As a toddler he cracked me up on a daily basis. And now as an almost Kindergartner, he just blows my mind away. He is so much like me, it's frightening. He is obsessed with technology - phones, lights, fans, buttons, robots, you name it. He is the most active kid on the planet and never sits still.
