Please excuse Jack's crusty snot on his face during the close up.

Slideshow Time
This isn't exactly what I had in mind when I set out to make this video. But it turns out I don't have as many pictures of my family as I'd like. And I tried to find old ones too, which is why you will see a lot of just me at the beginning. Sorry! But I do have to say, wow Jack looks like his mama did. Kind of scary! Enjoy the slideshow.

Hush

He loves to read books. Sometimes even when the TV is playing those dreaded cartoons, I look downstairs and he's sitting on the floor reading his books.

Dear City of Maple Grove
Dear City of Maple Grove - more specifically neighbors on Berkshire Way,
It is fall and while I absolutely love having all of my windows open during the day, there are a few things I ask of you - during the hours of 12:30 - 2:30 (my son's nap time) could you please:
It is fall and while I absolutely love having all of my windows open during the day, there are a few things I ask of you - during the hours of 12:30 - 2:30 (my son's nap time) could you please:
- Not mow your lawn, or do any outside work on your house or lawn
- Not allow big tucks, buses, garbage trucks, anything that is loud to go in front of my house
- Not walk in front of my house, this causes my dog to bark
- Do not honk your horns
- No construction work, on the road or on other houses
- Keep your dogs from barking
- Disassemble the tornado sirens
- Mute all sirens for that matter
- Don't let your children play outside unless they use their inside voices
- And DO NOT, DO NOT ring my doorbell or even knock on my door.
That is all I ask of you, I don't think it's asking too much - do you?
Sincerely,
Jack's Mom

First Day of "School"
Today Jack and I started our ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) classes. We are in a 12-24 month group. I was quite nervous because just in the past week, Jack has been throwing massive temper tantrums. Today was no exception. Jack was definitely "that" kid in the class, but what are you going to do? I'm just hoping he won't be "that" kid every week. The teachers there were wonderful, they kept reassuring me that his behavior is normal and that I am doing a good job with him. It will be so nice once we start separating from the kids and have time to talk as parents and share our joys and concerns. I'm really glad that we signed up for these!
I have decided Jack is going to be a doctor for Halloween. We think a neurosurgeon is the most fitting for our family right now (not because Jack has brain issues, because of my brother's spinal cord injury :-)). So we need a name...Not Dr. McDreamy or McSteamy, but Dr. Mc_______. Suggestions anyone????

25 weeks

This past weekend a cute little 4 year old girl told me I was having a baby girl. Then a few days ago my god-daughter Ruby told me I was a having a girl baby, but her little sister Hailey shouted boy baby boy baby. I lean more towards girl, but when I'm at the doctor's office I tend to lean towards boy. It's hard for me to fathom having a girl though, since all we know is boy. 15 more weeks (which also means 15 weeks until Christmas, REALLY??)

Updates
Well it's September already, can you believe it? Fall is definitely my favorite season and I'm really excited for it to get here, although I know I will regret saying that in about 2 months. We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I didn't take enough pictures though, sorry!!
Jack is definitely entering into the terrible two's. He is starting to throw random temper tantrums, it's actually quite comical, well unless we are in a public place. He just does this fake cry and sprawls out on the floor. I'm trying new things as far as dealing with it, I'll let you know when I find a solution...haha.
He is absolutley 100% obsessed with Dora the Explorer. He would seriously watch it all day long if I let him. He won't watch any other cartoons, all he wants is "the map" that is what he calls Dora. We were at Kohl's today getting some new pj's and he saw some Dora ones and went nuts. Can you imagine if I let him wear them, ha ha ha. I opted for the Buzz Lightyear ones instead. Tom really wants to dress Jack up as the Map from Dora for Halloween, I'm thinking no.
We start our ECFE class next Wednesday. I'm really excited for that. It's a gradual separation class, so the first few times the adults will be with the kids, and then slowly we will go into another room and have adult/parenting talks. It will be really good for Jack and for myself.
I'm getting bigger by the day. I have my glucose testing tomorrow morning. I need to get a belly shot up here soon too. I found this website where you can have a huge baby pool where you guess the date/time/size/gender, etc. But I'm going to wait to find out if I'm having a C-Section or not before I get rolling on that. It will be really fun though - so you all better participate. The winner gets to babysit both kids overnight in February. hahaha, I'm just kidding. The winner will get a fabulous shout out here on this blog! So I will update tomorrow with a belly shot and the results of my glucose test!

Pictures from Labor Day Weekend
Jack took out all of the pop and beer and lined them up on the deck. Then he got mad because i wouldn't let him eat the ice cubes.

State Fair
Last Friday Tom and I took Jack to the State Fair. I hadn't gone in about 6 years and it had been 10 years for Tom. I guess that's what happens when you live out of state for so long! Jack was so good. We kept him in his stroller the entire time, because if you take him out - there is no getting him back in. He loved seeing the baa's (sheep) and the cows. He also loved his foot long corn dog. Don't worry, mom and dad helped! It would have been nice to have someone come pick Jack up at about 6:30 and take him home so Tom and I could have stayed the rest of the night just us, it was a gorgeous night. Wishful thinking, right? ha ha.
