I'm happy to say we all had a good night last night. I set up the pack 'n play at the end of our bed for Finn to sleep in instead of his bouncer. I put him to bed around 10:45, he ate about 3 oz around 9:45. He didn't wake up until 12:30. I fed him and he fell back asleep and was perfectly content in the pack n play. Then he woke up again at 3:30, did the typical routine - change, feed, burp, swaddle, rock and I was back in bed by 3:55 and then he slept until 7:15. So I really don't think I can complain too much. It's just the times when he will not fall back asleep that I go absolutely insane, and that's when I need Tom to step in. But last night we didn't need any of that!Lets hope that continues. I like having Finn super close to me at night and in the morning so I can console him before he wakes his big brother up. But we are hoping if this pack n play thing continues to go smoothly we will transition him into his own room in a week or so. Not in a huge rush though.
This morning I ventured out to Jack's ECFE class. It was fun showing off Finn - although Jack threw a huge temper tantrum when we walked in and he saw the teacher. It took me a good 20 min to console him and get him interested in the toys. But once he warmed up, he played harder than he's ever played there before. It was so fun seeing him actually play with all of the toys there, his face was practically purple by the time we left. He's so good with Finn - I had to take him out of the carseat to feed him and Jack just gave him kisses and then off he went to play with the trucks and balls. It's nice getting out of the house, but it sure is a chore - especially in the cold!
We've had lots of fun visitors this past week which has definitely helped pass the time. I'm definitely ready for Tom's hockey season to be over. Now that I have two boys - I have a feeling I will be saying that for the rest of my life! ha ha. That's ok. Alright, gotta go feed Finn.
Molly your children are SO cute! Just adorable...I still can't believe Finn has dark hair...so crazy! We're really looking forward to meeting him and seeing you guys on Tuesday! You're so brave to go to ECFE already...way to go! I hope Finn keeps sleeping good for you and Tom...that is awesome!
