Highlight of my Day (yesterday)

I'm stealing this idea from my friend Jenny. She created a blog and every day she blogs about the highlight of her day. She lives in Denmark so it's a really cool way to stay up to date with her.

Anyway, here is my highlight...

Me and the boys were leaving Costco walking to my car to unload all of our items. This man was unloading his stuff into his car parked right next to me. I got Jack in his car seat and was putting Finn in his, when the man ever so politely grabbed my cart and said "I'll take care of this for you." I swear I said thank you like 5 times. I think I was still saying thank you when I was in my car. It's things like that, that totally make my day. It's not even like it takes that much effort to put the cart back, but he saw my hands were full and just took care of it. It makes me happy to know that there are still genuinely nice people out there. It makes me want to do a whole bunch of random good deeds for people.

Tonight - I will be golfing and then watching the finale of the Real Housewives of New York City. I am seriously OBSESSED with these shows. I think Bravo should do an episode here in the NW Suburbs of Minneapolis. I know some great people, and I don't think we'd have a problem stirring up some drama. ;-)

  1. Very true Molly, it's so refreshing to know that there are still genuinely nice, caring people out there! Love the idea of the highlight of the day!!

You should write to Bravo and see if they'd film Real Housewives of NW Suburbs/Minneapolis...ha ha I would watch! ;)

  4. I'd be on your show! I'd have to be Vicki/Gretchen from Orange County--Vicki because I work all day and Gretchen since I don't have kids and am still on the lookout for a rich, older guy (just don't tell Zach!!)

  5. One morning the person in front of me in the drive-thru line at Starbucks bought my drink. Totally caught me off guard and completely made my day! It was a good reminder to me that doing even small things for others makes a big impact. I've pulled the Starbucks trick a few times since then, and smiled as I drove away, knowing the person behind me was in for a nice surprise. :)
