3 and 1 Year Dr Check Ups

Yesterday Tom and I brought both boys in for their annual check ups. I guess that's one nice thing about having their birthdays so close together, we can kill two birds with one stone. We got the corner suite too. ha ha. Seriously, the room we were in was so much bigger than usual. Here are the stats:

Jack 3 Year
Height - 36 3/4 inches - 25-50%
Weight - 30.4 pounds - 50%
BMI - 15.8 - 25-50%
Blood Pressure 98/66

The also attempted to check Jack's vision. I found this quite hilarious. First they tried to put a sticky patch on Jack's eye. Umm, that was not about to happen. I then asked if I could just cover his eye with my hand. That worked fine. Then they wanted him to read lines of letters as far down as possible. He did a really good job until he got completely bored with it and started saying random letters and laughing. ha ha.

Finn 1 year
Height - 29 inches - 25%
Weight - 18 lbs 11 oz - 3-5% (sad)
Head - 45.2 cm - 25%

Oh Finn. My little man. The good news is that he's actually growing. Last time he was in the 5% for height. They gave us some tips on fattening up the little guy without completely ruining his diet too. There isn't much that can be done, but we can try. Finn is also completely done with bottles. Hip hip hooray!

They both are up to date on all of their immunizations and I'm just grateful for two healthy boys!

  1. First of all: super funny (but probably not to you or the nurse at the time...) that Jack decided to just say random letters when he got bored. Second of all: Finn is a peanut! You can always give him spoonfuls of butter to fatten him up. haha

  2. Yay for the Starkey boys!! So funny that Finn is a skinny minny! Not to compare your sons to my dogs, but hey, it's all I've got :) But our Bongo is 10 lbs lighter than Kokomo, and they eat the same thing every single day!! In fact we even try to feed Bongo more than his sister to fatten him up! His metabolism is just sky high compared to hers. So typical: the guy eats more than the girl and manages to stay slim while the girl can't lose freaking pound! How unfair is that!!
