This weekend when we were at Ridgedale, we stopped into the Apple store. As you all know, I've been obsessed with Macs lately and wanted Tom to see what all the fuss was about. If you know Jack at all and how obsessed he is with technology - going into this store was going to be a challenge. It was like the mothership for Jack, ha ha. Anyway, we looked around and spoke with a very helpful salesman. I was looking at the Macbook Pros, but it seemed like the regular Macbook would be just fine for me, not to mention we'd save close to $600. These computers are not cheap by any means. But with all the photos and videos I take, I really think it's going to be worth the money. We didn't get it right then and there, too much work with both boys. That night when we had a sitter before we grabbed some drinks, we stopped back at the Apple store and bought it!!! I was excited. Tom said he was afraid I was going to neglect the boys during the day. I said I was afraid of that too :-)
Ever since Jack has been born, I always feel like I should be buying him things instead of me. And now with two boys, it's even harder. And even when I want to buy them things, I don't want to spend a lot of money because they will just outgrow it in a few months. I'm not a splurger and it's really hard for me to spend a lot of money at once. So I had some guilt about wanting this very expensive "toy". But then I remembered that Tom will get his check from coaching hockey in a few months (not like it's that much, but I think I deserve to treat myself to a little something with some of that money, right?). So there you have it, we are now owners of a Mac. I downloaded Skype today and got to chat with my friend and her two boys who live in VA, and I'm hoping soon I can see Jenny who lives in Denmark! Jack and I have played around with the video camera and photo booth on here. It's just so much fun! Everything is so easy too!
Everything is better on a Mac! I guess you won't be needing my computer help again anytime soon. Have fun with it! We should skype sometime.
